This weekend was bad. I keep eating more and more.
Now i discovered that I can eat next to the computer, so that doesn't help me much now.
It's very frustrating, you think that you got something right, and you fail again.
I decided this time would be different, so I'm not going to let that stop me...
I have a friend who offered to help me with food-shopping, so I can start with a low calorie diet.
Nothing official, just stuff I learned online.
For now, I don't really have a weight loss plan, but I'll get there. Found some diet recipes, that look good, and as I said, I'm not giving up!!

Progress, I guess

I know I'm supposed to write about my diet, but I found that spending time on the computer keeps me away form the fridge, for now... (How about that for some weight loss tips? ;)
I found that on some weight loss forums, you can get some diet tips, you can share weight loss plans, so I guess I'm im a good place. You actually have support online for that!
The good news is that I have my Mui Thai class later today, And I've been very good- I'm away from the fridge! (Maybe that's what my friend had in mind when he suggested the blog thing- that I'll spend more time away from the kitchen... :)
I'll get myself some diet plan, it seems like just eating less is not enough, because I eat less but in higher frequency...

We're Different

How many of us fat people, tried the Atkins Diet?
Do you guys know that he was never fat? Never? So easy to say, without being overweight, "eat low carbohydrate and high protein foods, and you'll lose weight."
The problem with fat people, is that this is exactly what we eat! Our affection to carbohydrates is what got us in this situation to begin with!
Of course, there's the whole genetic thing as well, but that too comes down to that- that's what our parents ate, and loved eating.
We need a real diet, something that a normal fat person used, which worked!
I had a diet plan, actually, a few diet plans, for fast weight loss, easy weight loss, but the problem
obviously was never solved, at least not permanently. I want to lose weight, and I want to lose weight fast!
Too many ideas come for us come from people that aren't us, that can't understand our predicament because they have never been us, and their only interest is money, not help.
Sure, the Atkins Diet, and other diets of the sort, helped some people, the ones I know were just slightly overweight, and they would have probably lose that weight anyway, without some specialized plan developed by "experts."
Any thoughts?

Here it Goes...

OK.
So my name is Sam, and I'm large. You can call it whatever you want, Big, Fat, Overweight, Big Boned, Obese (or as one of my friends like to call it- fluffy and cuddly).
Doesn't really matter.
I've been like that for all my life.
I've tried everything... All the diets, signed up for the gym, for some trendy classes, like Yoga, Pilates and Boxing. (Now I'm trying Mui Thai, if you want to know. Quite fun actually:)
I tried eating disorders for a while, too. That didn't last long, was too obligating and not even half as fun as the Mui Thai.
My friend, who was a chain smoker suggested I'd write a blog about the progress, because that helped him a lot with quitting smoking.
I fully intend to share my past experience, (the stuff I try to do now, too) and hope to learn from others as well.
Anyway, nice to meet you all, I'm going to do some blog reading now, so enjoy!
